Pronunciating Practice

Real syllables are actual spoken sounds that exist in Hanyu.

In Hanyu Pinyin, syllables are categorized into 7 types:

1. A simple final only (1 page) 
2. An Initial + a simple final (10 pages) 
3. An Initial + a medial + simple final (4 pages)  
4. A compound final only (1 page) 
5. An Initial + a compound final (35 pages) 
6. An Initial + a medial + a compound final (8 pages) 
7. A whole syllable (2 pages)
